35+ years experience in managing retail merchandisers, creating & managing in-store merchandising programs, and developing & managing pharmacy detailing initiatives.  Chris’ career includes time with American Greetings, managing 40+ retail merchandisers in the Southeast.  He joined Novartis Consumer Health to perform a key role in the creation of their in-house merchandising force, where he eventually became National Director of the merchandising division.  As this role evolved, he became responsible for overseeing all outsourced merchandising activities in Drug and Mass.  This led to his role as Business Development Manager for National Retail Services, a retail merchandising company with over 2,500 direct reps serving over 100 CPG companies.  This provided Chris with a unique opportunity to “peek behind the curtain” of a third-party retail service provider to understand how they interact with their clients, and more importantly how clients could better manage these entities to ensure success at the most efficient cost.  Utilizing this unique experience and background in the world of retail merchandising, Chris launched RPM with co-founder Mark Duss in 2003.  RPM’s mission is to work with their CPG clients to develop successful retail and pharmacy programs by placing focus on what’s best for the client in terms of strategy, tactical approach, cost, and implementation.
